Dear fellow patriots,
Greetings from defendthewhitehouse.org. This is the second update we are sending to subscribers of our mailing list. Much has happened in the days since the last update. First, our permits have been granted! As soon as we finalize the day's plans we will post them on the site and send an update via this list.
In our last update we announced the addition of other organizations and guests to our agenda. Since then the DtWH project has blossomed into an entire weekend of events, now known as the "Support the Troops and Their Mission Weekend," featuring Free Republic, Move American Forward, Rightmarch and other organizations and individuals. If you are local to DC or are in town for the weekend, please consider attending one or more of the events in addition to the Defend the White House rally.
The schedule is currently outlined at http://supportthetroopsweekend.org. This site will be updated in the coming days with more information also.
Following a release given before the National Press Club in DC, word has begun to get out about our plans, including a piece in the Washington Post. Still, as a grassroots organization, we are relying on word-of-mouth more than any other method for spreading the news. Please forward this email or our sites' addresses on to anyone whom you feel may be interested. The DtWH site now has downloadable flyers to help advertise the event. Flyers will be added to the Support the Troops Weekend site soon also. If you run a website or 'blog of your own, there are also web banners on the flyer page you may add or link.

The rate of sign-ups to this list, hits on our websites and email response is increasing daily. Excitement and passion is building on both sides, and on ours the thanks go to the efforts of ordinary liberty-loving citizens who are stepping up and making their voices heard. This is our chance to make our most forceful statement yet.
