ADL believes the UN Vote to Create a new Human Rights Council to replace the fundamentally biased Human Rights Commission is not true reform, but could prove to be more responsible and reliable than its predecessor.

- Architect Renounces Ties to Anti-Israel Group
Lord Richard Rogers, the famed British architect hired by the State of New York for the redesign of Manhattan’s Jacob Javits Convention Center, severed ties to the Architects and Planners for Justice in Palestine, a group that met in his office to discuss an Israel boycott, after ADL and others raised concerns about the relationship. Lord Rogers subsequently assured the League that he opposes any boycott of Israel. ADL National Director Abraham H. Foxman said he believed the architect’s apology “was sincere.”

- Mounting Concerns about Anti-Semitism in France
A series of violent assaults on Jewish men in a Parisian suburb in the aftermath of the horrific murder of a young Jewish man has fueled concerns about a new wave of anti-Semitism in France. ADL urged the French government to “remain resolute, to tackle this problem” and to reassure Jews around the world that France has no tolerance for anti-Semitism. More>>
- Saudis Must Not Break Boycott Pledge
Reacting to reports that an Islamic summit on the economic boycott of Israel was taking place in Saudi Arabia, ADL called on the Saudi regime to reaffirm their pledge to the United States that they would not restrict trade to Israel. More>>
- U.N. Official Promulgates Anti-Israel Report
ADL called for the immediate dismissal of a United Nations Human Rights Commission official for his “outrageous accusations” in a report that accused the state of Israel of human rights and other violations in the occupied Palestinian territories. More>>
- Campus Anti-Semitism Focus of Amsterdam Meeting
ADL joined with other international organizations for a meeting in Amsterdam that issued recommendations to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe on combating the anti-Semitism prevalent at some universities in North America and Europe. More>>

Once again, the national clothing retailer headquartered in Philadelphia, is acting with flagrant disregard for the sensibilities of Irish-Americans, just as they have previously in offering merchandise offending Blacks, Jews, Mexicans and Mexican-Americans. More>>
- Illinois: More Resignations from Hate Crimes Panel
Following ADL’s lead, four additional members of the Illinois State Hate Crimes Commission announced their resignations in protest of the continued membership of Sister Claudette Muhammad, a Nation of Islam member who refused to condemn the anti-Semitic and anti-gay remarks of Minister Louis Farrakhan. - Chicago: Anti-Jewish Graffiti at DePaul U.
Anti-Semitic and racist graffiti was discovered inside a dormitory and on the walls of three university buildings at DePaul University. ADL’s Chicago Office condemned the vandalism, while praising university officials and law enforcement for their handling of the incident. More>>
- Denver: Controversial Muslim Leader Denounced
Citing his long history of anti-American and anti-Semitic statements, ADL’s Denver Office condemned the appearance of Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, who was the main speaker at an event sponsored by a local Muslim group in Denver. More>>

- New York: DA Fired After Link to White Supremacy Exposed
An assistant district attorney in upstate New York was fired after ADL notified his superiors of his attendance at a white supremacist gathering in Virginia. The prosecutor, Michael Regan, had been quoted in The Washington Post as referring to European Christian Americans as “an endangered species.”

- Nevada: Community College “No Place for Hate”
An Three campuses of Community College of Southern Nevada held a series of events, lectures and seminars with the theme of “No Place for Hate.” The events focused on the lynching of Leo Frank in 1915, which led to the creation of ADL, and contemporary issues of racism and hate.
