شركت مك دونالد با هدف تبديل رستوران‌هاي زنجيره‌يي اين شركت به مكان وقت گذراني، دسترسي به اينترنت بي‌سيم رايگان عرضه مي‌كند.
به گزارش سرويس فن‌آوري اطلاعات خبرگزاري دانشجويان ايران (ايسنا)، مك دونالد از نيمه ماه ژانويه هزينه 2.95 دلاري براي دسترسي دو ساعته مشتريان به اينترنت بي‌سيم را در 11 هزار رستوران از 14 هزار رستوران محلي‌اش حذف مي‌كند.
بر اساس گزارش وال استريت ژورنال، فراهم‌سازي دسترسي رايگان به اينترنت با همكاري AT&T صورت مي‌گيرد كه اينترنت بي‌سيم رستوران‌هاي مك دونالد را تامين مي‌كند.
مك دونالد اميدوار است اينترنت مجاني مشتريان را تشويق كند مدت بيش‌تري را در رستوران‌هاي اين شركت گذارنده و بيش‌تر خريد كنند.
اينترنت بي‌سيم رايگان مك دونالد كه در استفاده از آن محدوديتي براي مشتريان وجود نخواهد داشت، تهديد بزرگي براي مراكز فروش قهوه خواهد بود.
