Not sure the threat is real? See for yourself

In 2009, a line was crossed

 Dear david,

“It was probably the worst year for global anti-Semitism in my tenure at ADL.”
-Abraham H. Foxman, National Director, ADL

In 2009, violent actions and vicious words added fuel to the explosion of anti-Semitism both around the world, and here at home, putting Jews at a new level of risk.

  • In a shocking anti-Semitic crime in Moldova, a priest led a demonstration of 100 people who knocked down a menorah in the capital city’s main square. The priest proclaimed, “Stephan the Great defended our country from all kinds of kikes, and now they come and put their menorah here.”

  • Reports in a Swedish newspaper falsely accused Israeli soldiers of selling organs of slain Palestinians and Swedish officials responded with the claim that it’s “freedom of the press”.

  • A Jewish college student in CT was targeted and murdered by a man who wrote in his diary, “I think it’s okay to kill Jews.”

  • Over the last year, we've seen a frightening increase in extremist plots directed at Jewish institutions in the United States.

Watch ADL’s special video, Anti-Semitism in America, and see for yourself why our work is more critical now than ever before to protect our communities and keep our families safe.

We need your help to fight back against the rising tide of anti-Semitism. Stand with ADL as we continue our work to protect the Jewish people.
