a video my problem, dear anne, is that it is 2009. kids don't like to get all fussied up anymore, and i don't think they would go to the trouble of making up stories about lost broaches to be able to go to a silly church picnic. in my mind the little girls are wearing spring dresses and holding parasols with their gloved hands while the boys are eating biscuits and drinking homemade rootbeer with their hats and suspenders on. but i live in a dreamland where i want everything stylized. i know you understand me, anne. * my friend lauren's new baby is perfect. i love her blog, too. it's called nesting habits (love that) and it's such a happy spot. i believe in family. i believe in simplicity. i believe in vintage goods and handmade lovlies. i believe in reading. i believe in good food. i believe in cozy homes, bubble baths, and pajamas. i believe in honest expression. i believe in the power of mothers to shape nations. i believe in the gentle toil of the needle. i believe in god. mostly, i believe in being happy.bad news: i am giving up diet coke. i have to give it everything i got.
