Thanks to you, in less than a week ADL gathered over 12,000 signatures for our petition to the National Association of Teachers in Further and Higher Education (NATFHE), the British teachers’ union which proposed a resolution recommending that its members blacklist Israeli scholars. Our petition received extensive press coverage and was cited by those opposing the resolution.

Although the resolution was officially approved over the weekend, the battle is far from over.

Your voice was key to reversing a similar vote by another British Academic Union last year. After ADL supporters and others around the globe expressed their outrage, the Association of University Teachers (AUT) re-voted and the boycott was rescinded.

Not only is the shameful NATFHE vote clearly an assault against academic freedom, it is being used as a tool to discredit Israel as a legitimate, democratic nation. We are pursuing a number of options including urging U.S. academics, universities and grant-making bodies to suspend contacts and cut funding to supporters of the boycott.

Your involvement is crucial in building a worldwide awareness for Israel’s safety.
Please help ADL continue this battle by donating today.
