#552 These are the People who want Nuclear Weapons

(2006-02-24) On February 19, an Iranian film seminar included a lecture by
Professor Hasan Bolkhari, a cultural advisor to the Iranian Education
Ministry. Bolkhari discussed in all seriousness the proposition that the Tom
and Jerry cartoon series was a plot by Jews to clean up the image of mice as
Jews had been denigrated in the past with the charge that they are like
'dirty mice'. Are these the people that should have nuclear weapons? Read the

#553 Bad is Never Good

(2006-02-28) The Bad is Good theory holds that the more extreme the bad
behavior and the more overt the threat, the less able the U.S. and others
would be to pretend you can have politics as usual with terrorist regimes.
Regarding the Palestinians and the government of Iran, the theory leads to
faulty assumptions with serious consequences for the U.S. Read the analysis
