Invitation for an upcoming JINSA Event

The Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs cordially invites you
to attend a presentation on

"The Long War: America's Security Interests in the Middle East"

Featuring

BRIGADIER GENERAL MARK T. KIMMITT, USA

Deputy Director, Strategy and Plans
United States Central Command

Wednesday, May 17
5:30pm-7:00pm
The Army-Navy Club
901 17th Street NW * Washington, DC 20006

The United States and its allies are engaged in what has been viewed as
a generational conflict against terrorists and countries that harbor and
support them. In this view, the "hot" wars in Afghanistan and Iraq
represent only battles in a much longer conflict.

Brig. Gen. Mark Kimmitt will discuss American military strategy for the
"long war," update the situation in Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran, and
address the importance of success on these fronts in preventing further
attacks on U.S. soil. He will also discuss U.S. efforts to cultivate
stable and open governments in the Middle East that will serve broader
Western security goals in the region.

Brig. Gen. Kimmitt is Deputy Director of Strategy and Plans at United
States Central Command. His responsibilities include the development of
strategy and plans for the Central Command area of responsibility, which
includes nations in Central Asia, the Arabian Peninsula, the Levant, the
Horn of Africa, and active operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Bring your questions.
We promise you a candid and enlightening conversation.

Please RSVP to Shoshana Bryen at JINSA by e-mail at sbryen@jinsa.org or

Looking forward --
