AJC ALERT: TV Ad on Hezbollah

AJC Launches TV AD Campaign on Hezbollah

"Can We Close Our Eyes to the Truth about Hezbollah?" is the theme of AJC's new television ad. The 30-second spot will air on CNN and FOX during prime-time morning and evening news shows, beginning on Monday, August 14. This first stage of the campaign will last two weeks.

The ad's central message is that the Iranian-backed Hezbollah, since its inception, has been a threat to the United States and Western nations, not just to Israel. Hezbollah, for example, murdered more Americans before September 11, 2001, than any other terror group in the world, and its targets also have included the French military in Beirut, and the Israeli Embassy and AMIA headquarters in Buenos Aires. The large quantity of funds and advanced weapons Hezbollah receives from Iran also is emphasized.

The ad currently will run in metropolitan New York and Washington, D.C. regions. It, of course, also will be available on the AJC website. Those who see the ad on TV will get the URL (website address) at the end of the ad. Our site will have a special section filled with AJC analyses and other information on Hezbollah.
