Israeli Prime Minister Meets With President, Congress
In his first official visit to Washington, DC as Prime Minister of Israel, Ehud Olmert met with the President and was warmly welcomed during an address to a joint meeting of Congress. Mr. Olmert thanked Congress and the Administration for their steadfast support of the Jewish state and for keeping pressure on the Hamas-led Palestinian government to recognize Israel and renounce terrorism. He also met with Jewish community leaders, including Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director, to further explain his realignment plan for the West Bank.

Acting on a tip from ADL, officials in Oregon arrested a fugitive wanted for violating his parole by meeting with white supremacists. Kyle Brewster, an ex-racist skinhead who spent 14 years in prison for taking part in one of Oregon's most notorious hate crimes, was arrested during a routine meeting with his parole officer. More>>
