Israel's Story in Maps

There is no better online collection of historical maps about Israel than the one we produced: Israel's Foreign Ministry uses Israel's Story in Maps as its primary cartographic resource. Within a Macromedia Flash framework, we have created a visual narrative that starts with Solomon and continues to 2004, telling the story about the Jewish People's connection to their land, with an emphasis on their return in the 20th century. Each map and graph can be printed out in high resolution. Consider it as a treat for yourself, or a gift to a friend or family member, or a pastor/rabbi who cares about Israel. By buying this CD-ROM ($9.95 +S&H) or ordering an online subscription ($4.95), you'll be helping Israel Insider keep on keeping on! Please consider ordering one today.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Attempts at Intimidation and Silencing

This is a briefing, and I will be brief.

Events move at a quickening pace, and there is more news than I as a publisher, even with my capable and over-extended staff, can process in full. Our editor is on a junket to Gaza, Orit is reporting her personal insights on a daily basis, out graphic designers and developers are preparing an amazing interactive flash map-and-timeline about "Disengagement."

At the start of the day, I read with amazement the letters with which the army explains how it intends to evict 10,000 citizens and destroy 2800-3000 houses. At the end of the day, I received and responded to a reader who has appointed himself "policeman" to bring the views in Israel Insider to the attention of the authorities.

So, without further ado, here is the content of our day. Perhaps it will give you a sense of the bizarre and turbulent world we inhabit these days inside Israel.

In these difficult and critical days for Israel and the Jewish People, please support Insider in its mission, and I am not referring to only financial support. Let us know you are with us, that you will stand up for what is right, and stand with the courageous people defending their homes and their neighbors, protecting their businesses and synagogues, the graves of their fallen and their deep desire to prevent more from falling if a Hamas-led terror state to allowed to arise on our doorstep.

There are only a few Israeli publications that have the guts to take a public stance against the Establishment and the powers that be. We are one of those few voices of dissent and freedom. I would be grateful to hear that you are with us as we enter this most crucial of periods for our vulnerable, precious, and wayward nation!

My best wishes for a non-violent, disobedient, and miraculous week!
