Panel Discusses Implications of the PKK for Turkey, Iraq and the U.S.
(2005-08-05) On August 4, 2005, JINSA convened a panel of experts to discuss
what role the U.S. can and should play in the battle against the resurgent
Kurdish terrorist organization known as the PKK (Partiya Karkern Kurdistan).
Taking place at JINSAs Washington, D.C. offices, the panel also considered
Americas role in support of Turkeys battle against the PKK within its own
borders.

Renewed Threats from the PKK
(2005-08-10) On August 4, 2005, JINSA convened a panel of experts to discuss
what role the U.S. can and should play in the battle against the resurgent
Kurdish terrorist organization known as the PKK (Partiya Karkern Kurdistan).
The timing of the panel coincided with the second trilateral meeting on the
PKK attended by Turkish, American, and Iraqi officials held the same week in
Washington, D.C.

#508 Disengaging
(2005-08-10) The Bush Administration has staked its claim to what constitutes
success, and is insisting that Israel not only withdraw, but make Gaza and
the Palestinian Authority (PA) viable in spite of itself and its nasty
proclivities. Since the PA is continuing its war against Israel even as it
sinks into lawlessness, this pressure constitutes an unacceptable intrusion
into Israels sovereign right to determine the security parameters, and
