Time to End the Anti-Israel Agenda at the United Nations! When the United Nations arose from the ashes of war in 1945, there were real hopes for a new era of peace and reconciliation. Indeed, it was the United Nations which was instrumental in helping establish the State of Israel. Yet sixty years later, the UN has been compromised by inertia, indifference and ingrained anti-Israel bias. Next week, world leaders are gathering in New York for a special World Summit. UN reform is at the top of the agenda. The goal -- a UN capable of responding to the main challenges of our time: poverty, terrorism, human rights and meaningful action against genocide. But no reform will be complete unless the UN stops targeting Israel. That Means: -
An end to the 20 plus anti-Israel resolutions which are rubber stamped by the UN General Assembly year after year.
-
Getting rid of the four UN bodies whose sole responsibility is promoting a vehemently anti-Israel agenda.
-
Getting rid of the discredited UN Human Rights Commission, which obsessively condemns Israel while ignoring grievous abuses elsewhere in the world.
-
Recognition of Israel’s rightful place in the organization which helped create it. Sign our letter to Ambassador Jan Eliasson, the incoming President of the United Nations General Assembly, telling him that a reformed UN is a UN where Israel feels at home.
