Dear fellow patriots,
Greetings from defendthewhitehouse.org! This is the first of the updates we will be sending to subscribers of our mailing list. As I type this, we have just entered the month of September. 24 days from now the fruits of our labor will be manifest in Washington DC and across the airwaves and newswires of the entire world, spreading the message of hope for America and her allies, our love of Liberty and our increasingly vocal opposition to those who employ only the rhetoric of hate, dishonesty and reflexive opposition to any actions undertaken by this administration.
We will soon have all the details you will need to join us on September 24th. Meanwhile, we would like to announce our partnership with the organization RightMarch. RightMarch is heading to Crawford Texas to join Deborah Johns, Camp Qualls and Camp Reality with Iraqi War veteran Captain Hiram Lewis. We wish them luck out there and look forward to linking up with them in our nation's capital.
We have been pleased - almost overwhelmed - by the amount of support we have received for our project. What began as a small counter-rally against extreme radical groups getting a free, legitimizing pass from the mainstream media has grown into a positive, independant display of the values that make our nation great. Many additional opportunities are presenting themselves daily, and our plans are not yet finalized.
Unfortunately with this added complexity comes added cost. We are thus making a humble appeal to you and any others who support our mission to donate what they can to make sure that Sept 24 is, for as many people as possible, truly a day to remember. At this time we are set up to accept donations via the PayPal service, which does accept credit card payments. You may donate by clicking the PayPal link at our home page. Any amount you are comfortable giving will help. Your donation will help us fund the purchase of signs and banners, rent a stage and audio equipment for speakers, purchase tables and other supplies and print informational flyers to distribute at the rally. We are also still seeking to get the word out through paid advertising and printed flyers. Also, anyone in the DC area who may be able to contribute these materials or assist us with equipment rental is encouraged to contact us. We would be happy to credit you or your company on our website and any publications we produce. We thank you for your support!
Speaking of getting the word out - here is another area where you can contribute. We would very much like to gain the attention of the "big guns" of Conservative media - and that means talk radio. At the end of this email you will find a list of national and regional radio talk show hosts and their numbers. You may already listen to many of these shows. It would be wonderful if as many of you as possible could call these shows and spread the word. Most talk shows have call screeners, so be prepared to give a short pitch about DtWH.org, be curteous and positive and ask if you can give the web site address on the air. With all the constant buzz about Cindy Sheehan and her entourage, it shouldn't be difficult to tie our event into this ongoing coversation.
Stay tuned - the next two weeks will bring more news, more developments, more new opportunities to support the troops, their mission and the spread of Liberty world-wide. We stand in solidarity with the newly free peoples of the world during this time of infant Democracies and disheartening opposition both domestic and abroad. Together we will see the mission through to its inevitable end: victory.
